What to Do

  • WALK EVERYWHERE- This should be a given. Florence is a fairly small city so it’s super easy to do all of it. Also easy to get your bearings pretty quickly so you’ll feel familiar with it by the end of day 1.
  • Climb the Duomo- I did this when I was here 10 years ago so didn’t feel the need to do it again.
  • Boboli Gardens- AMAZING! On the opposite side of the river from the Duomo. It’s a gorgeous old castle(I think) with these amazing and beautiful gardens outside. Bring a bag with some wine, a towel, and ENJOY!
  • Uffizi- I’m not the biggest museum person but loved this, go see David.
  • SHOPPING-Go to the leather market! Massimo made me a custom leather jacket 10 years ago- I still wear it and it’s held up insane.
  • Sunset drinks at the Westin. The rooftop is insane, so go before dinner for some drinks.
  • Piazza de Michelangelo- a MUST in this city. Grab some wine and go for sunset overlooking the entire city with the Tuscan Hills in the background
  • Day trip to Tuscany- OK so there are a million tours. When we were in Positano we met a couple who used a private tour and LOVED it. We ended up booking and recommend 1000% it was 8 hours and 420 euro. A big van picks you up so you can def do 6 or 8 people and split. We did 2 wineries and they make you homemade lunch with the wine its BEYOND! I have no idea what the name is but the whats app number is +39 328 827 6828
    • ****TIP: BUY ALL THE WINE AND SHIP IT BACK. We shipped too many bottles than i’d like to admit but SO worth it. It’s pricier but the wine is so much better from there and you meet the owners and i just love supporting hard working people and buying from them directly.
  • Day Trip to Cinque Terre- UGH this place will always have a piece of my heart. I think it was the first time ever i cried tears of happiness because it was just SO beautiful (ok maybe it was also the wine). I went when the weather wasn’t nice enough for the beach but I took the train to all the towns and had lunch in one of them. Make sure you get pesto here they are known for it.
  • Day trip to Gucci and Prada outlet- OK this is time consuming so if you’re spending a good chunk of time in Florence it’s worth it. It is an EXPERIENCE to say the least. You can take a bus tour or hire a driver. The prices are def a lot cheaper plus you get the VAT tax back, just don’t forget to go to the counter at the airport like me lol

Sealed with a Spritz
