Where to Stay
I’d like to start by saying that hotels in Italy are not the same as hotels in the US or any major cities. Florence has more options than the Amalfi coast with better price points, quality, and variety (they even have hotels tonight so look at that, you can book in advance now not just night of!) I am a Marriott member and also have a friend who works there and I got a discount so stayed at the Westin! The first time I was here I stayed at a friends apartment in college so this is all I’ve experienced here. I will note some hotels i’ve been recommended but never stayed in below!
The Westin Excelsior was beyond. BEST staff and prime location! It’s pricier but honestly worth it. The concierge was so so so amazing, have them make dinner reservations for you before you arrive. The rooms were super spacious and so were the bathrooms.If you don’t stay here- rooftop is a MUST, at least come for a drink.
