There are so many lunch spots in London. Of course, these are specific, but it goes without saying you should def pop into a pub for a proper fish and chips or Shepherd’s pie!
Buns&Buns– amazing. It’s pretty new. Right in the heart of Covent Garden. It’s actually inside the main square literally in the center so you can’t miss it. The food is SOOOO good. Like best lunch in London good. And the spicy marg is like the one at Soho house but without the membership and actually better with way more flavor. I literally dream about the burrata, and bao buns regularly- if you go anywhere DEF here! Promise you won’t be disappointed!
The Ivy (any of them)- The Ivy’s are def a little pricier but the food is consistently good! If not for food, just go have a drink here! The burger and fries with a bellini is my go-to post redeye meal, btw!
Leggero (gluten free Italian it’s insane so good)– omg. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place, even my non-GF friends have RAVED about it. The focaccia is to dieeeee for. I believe this is in Soho right past Chinatown.
Le Relias de Venise L’Enecote– This is a classic French place they literally only serve steak and fries. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and totally didn’t think it was mine till I went.
Borough Market– must do. It’s right over London Bridge and has anything and everything you can imagine! From cheese stands, to to-go PIMMS cups. Grab a few snacks and take a stroll!
Chitlern Firehouse– this place def lives up to the hype, I wouldn’t say it’s the best food ever, but vibe is amazing. You can go for brunch or lunch or just drinks but def try to come in some capacity
Selfridges food hall– SO GOOD! Makes any food hall in the US look like a dumpster. There’s this milk and cookie stand omg I dream about it till this day. But yeah, they have literally everything from to-go sandwich to a wine bar.
Places that I’ve been recommended but haven’t been- Mortimer House, Cote Brasserie, Grey Hound Café, Peggy Porshen Cakes, Kingly Court, Sanderson, Corazon
Check out my posts on where to stay, where to eat dinner, where to get a drink, what to do, and most importantly – where to get coffee in London.
Sealed with a Spritz
