CAPRI

CAPRI TRAVEL GUIDE

You, Me & Capri

Capri is the most spectacular island I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a good amount!). Capri is the perfect combination of beach, mountain, nature, and glamour; if that makes anyyyy sense. I definitely understand why the rich and famous are drawn here but I also didn’t feel like it was too snobby at any point here. When doing my research, a lot of people said they just did a day trip here, I knew it wouldn’t be enough. PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay at least 2 nights here! I stayed in Capri for 3 days and 2 nights. To be honest, I could have used another 2 nights. In my opinion you really need a solid 4 days somewhere to really get it and feel like you know the town.

Everything about this place is literally MAGIC. Every street corner, view, storefront, you name it. There are colors exploding literally everywhere in the best possible way (if you know me you know I am anti-color, neutrals all the way). In Capri, I fully embraced every single color. The locals were SO nice and it’s italy so there was no lack of good food

The first time I stayed in Capri was after 4 days in Positano then headed back to Positano for one more night before heading to London(I don’t recommend this). I recommend either doing Capri on the front or back of your trip and coming from Sorrento or Positano then go to your next destination since there are ferries and taxied involved. All. The. Transportation. The second time I went, I came here right from the Naples airport then went onto Positano. Speaking of, when you arrive in the main port with all the boats, you get these open top taxis that are SO adorable and will bring you where you need to go.

I was here both the first and last week in September, 2 years in a row and the weather was perfect. I was actually shocked at how many day tripper tourists were there but they all leave around 5! Although I went around the entire island by boat then explored the rest for the next 2.5 days I feel like here’s so much I wasn’t able to see. I unfortunately wasn’t able to get to Anacapri either time I was here, which is on top of the mountain and you take a gondola all the way up there. This is just another excuse for me to go back. When you are here, take it all in because it feels like a dream once you are gone.
